The Story of Glaive's Bold Explorations into the Artistic Unknown (So Far)...!!!
aka the About SectionFrom honing their love of the dramatically spoken, sung, and written word to learning how to code games, Glaive tends to find creative outlets in a myriad of ways. Including writing their own About section in the third person, because why not. We're the main characters in our own stories, as they say, and it's awkward enough writing these things as it is.Storytelling has been an integral part of Glaive's life since they were little. Their first magnum opus (and hopefully not their last) was a gripping tale full of wit and precociousness beyond their young years, poignantly titled The Pig with Blue Eyes (and you'll never guess what it was about).Mandy, the pig with the titularly-colored eyes, would grow up living an idyll existence on a cozy farm, enact a daring escape from a meat packing plant with her barnyard friends, and return home in relieved tears and triumph. Young Glaive would painstakingly render artistic representations of their harrowing and inspiring journey in MS Paint (Windows '95 edition).Young (and then not-so-young, and then definitely not young) Glaive would then go on to write more stories, as well as poems, songs, and lots of undeveloped plot ideas that they're afraid to tally up and that may frankly never reach the eyes and ears of the waiting(?) world. They at least live on in Glaive's heart, dusty notebooks, and flashdrives they probably still have and hopefully haven't lost somewhere in the back of a drawer.Solo story creation then led to creative collaboration with others over the years, and even stints working in production and marketing in indie publishing.Today, Glaive is still at it, daring to boldly go where...well, at least they themself haven't yet gone before, and having fun learning and growing as a creator and person along the way.Glaive hopes to illuminate people's lives with meaning and inspiration through their works, just as others sparked a creative flame in their heart years ago which has never yet gone out.

I'm equally at home conveying shy sweetness, monotone bluntness, freaking out and going feral, emotional vulnerability, unsettling creepiness, bright cheeriness, hyper excitement levels at a frequency only dogs can hear, or just being a Weird Little Creature.Being a lifelong lover of stories across media of all sorts--including writing them!--has helped me develop my skills in cultivating and delivering authentic, nuanced character voices, and it's so much fun growing them even further through voice acting.Because of this, I'm especially thrilled whenever I get the creative freedom to interpret characters in my own way, and love experimenting with a wide range of archetypes, moods, themes, and genres.
I enjoy singing (musical voice acting! Sorta) and writing songs in a variety of styles and genres--especially pop, rock, classical, folk, singer-songwriter, musicals, and video game and anime OSTs.Like my voice acting, my singing and songwriting is fueled by character-driven delivery that tells a story and makes an authentic emotional impact. My strengths are writing lyrics and vocal melodies--I don't currently offer instrumental composition or arrangement.
I also rewrite/adapt lyrics, compose vocal melodies for lyrics, and write lyrics for music written by others.
Kind of like voice acting...with rhythm. My delivery can go from lower-mid range, don't-mess-with-me blunt confidence to high-pitched, wildly sassy attitude.
I'm comfortable and experienced with both self-direction and external direction.I absolutely thrive and deliver my best work when I'm granted creative freedom (within the parameters of the project).Regardless of the project type, I'm very willing to work with producers and directors to meet its specific goals.
I highly value receiving and giving (if asked) respectful, constructive feedback.Whatever the project, I see my role as just one part of a collaborative creative process to help nurture a project to its fullest potential and deliver an impactful storytelling experience to audiences that they'll truly appreciate, hopefully for years to come.
I do my best to work with others to meet their project's scheduling needs, but I do not believe in crunch. If a project needs to be pushed back in order to respect and accommodate a human being's mental and physical health, I'm more than willing to work with that if asked. This includes asking for extensions on due dates to care for my own well-being as needed.People are more productive when they're not physically and mentally strained to (and beyond) their individual limits...but much more than that, I simply think it's just considerate and right to not sacrifice others' (and my own) health for the sake of a system that's built to prioritize profits over humans (and other living things).
If you're looking to work with a resourceful and ethical independent creator who thinks outside of the box and is friendly, communicative, and reliable, feel free to get in touch! :D
(fantastically-asked questions :D)
No. As an independent creator and just a supporter of the creative arts/industries, especially work by other independent creatives, I do not use any AI in my own work and never will. I also prefer not to work with projects if I'm aware they use AI--I always appreciate being informed, and will (politely) ask if there's any doubt.Naturally, I do not consent to any of my work being used for/with AI in any capacity--training AI models, alongside assets generated with AI, etc. Ever.I've always believed it's incredibly important to support the creative arts and the people who work within them. I do not buy into the myth of the starving artist or that people must suffer for their art--that includes exploiting them with or without their knowledge.
okay that was just one hypothetical question, but wanted to address it to clarify any doubts x)
I make visual novels sometimes! I currently have one project in the works:Thunderblossom: Seedling Concept Demo.In the prologue for this light-hearted LGBTQ+ fairytale, start an unexpected quest to unravel the truth behind the love story of a lonely mystical being and a non-binary mortal villager…and how it transforms them both.I created and released the basic build for my NaNoRenO 2026 ("make a visual novel in a month" game jam) entry. You can play it now on itch.io!The complete demo build is currently in progress, and will include full voice acting (among other additional features). You can follow along with updates as I post them on the game's itch.io devlog and on Bluesky!
